Peer Review

As part of our project we where asked to look at others people work and discuss certain points in which we decided who’s work matched the point the best and why.

The first discussion point was

Which outcomes do you feel are most successful technically and why?

For this point I chose Megan’s work where she shot pictures around bullying and how it effects people. I found it most technically successful as she used a bright spotlight on her model to put emphasis on the cut which she put on the model. But she kept the other side of the image very dark to show that her model was in a dark and bleak place because she was being bullied. The contrast of light really helped her to prove this point.

Below is an example of that image

The second discussion point was Which outcomes do you feel are most interesting creatively and why?

I chose Megan’s work with judgemental people and how people are judged and have word thrown at them. Rather than the model trying to tell others what people have said to her she has written the words on the models face to show how the words have effected her and how they have had an imprint on her life.

Below is an example of that image

The third and final discussion point was Which outcomes do you feel show a step forward creatively and technically for the person who produced them and why?

She used her photo to show the mental and physical issues of bullying. Both technically and creatively she has done this through makeup and lighting. These two elements have shown how people who are being bullied can be attacked both physically and mentally. I think compared to her earlier work this is a step forward because she has dicovered more in terms of creativity and technical elements.

Below is the example of this image and an image of her earlier work which I think shows improvement between now and then.
